Glossary
The words we use, and exactly what they mean.
The rule — Use these words consistently. They each mean one specific thing.
- Client — a company we work for. Maps to exactly one Asana project.
- Initiative — an ongoing workstream. A top-level Asana task in an initiative section.
- Task / work item — a unit of work under an initiative; an Asana subtask.
- Update — a one-and-done request; takes no slot, still logs hours.
- Revision — feedback on a deliverable in production, same approved direction.
- Deliverable — a published, linkable asset, hosted on files.sga.team.
- Report — the per-client, per-month summary the Status app generates.
- Tier — sets a client's active slots and monthly retained hours.
